When you choose to have your wedding on the Kitsap Peninsula you might be inclined to have a waterfront wedding. The Kitsap Conference Center does not disappoint. Especially if you have family and friends making it over from Seattle, the ferry terminal is conveniently right there for them to walk from the ferry to the ceremony. It’s a lovely spot with the water as a backdrop for your vows and several areas for photo opportunities. The fountains of course are a favorite and the landscaping around is beautiful, they have interesting rock sculptures which make for dramatic or fun photos as well. Nearby they have a great set of stairs, other fountains, and perfect vantage points for enjoying the waterfront.
On this particular day in June there were so many flowers in bloom and the weather was absolutely wonderful, hence the people in the background enjoying the cool water of the fountain park. I had the pleasure of second-shooting for Katie of AmandaK Photography and we took advantage of the fantastic features that the Kitsap Conference Center and Bremerton waterfront offer. The bride and groom were so sweet and the bridal party was so much fun. The ceremony was right there on the waterfront and as the beautiful bride walked down the stairs and past the fountains, you could just see everyone’s face (including wedding-gaukers) light up. The reception area was inside the conference center and rockin’ for awhile. As I left I admit I wished the reception was outside on such a beautiful day…I love all natural light weddings and the sunset that day was amazing.
