We started the session outside, where the forecast of snow in Silverdale ended up as only a dusting of frost across the grass. After a bit of chilly weather photos, we headed back inside the studio for some portraits of her beautiful pregnancy curves. A few more outside on the waterfront as the water was just so serene, and this session was a wrap. I’m anxious to meet their little one, who should be here in a few more weeks

The soft window light and a beautiful expecting mother…my choice for this session sneak peek. With only a few more weeks to go before welcoming a little girl, they have such a pretty name picked out and many lovely little things just received from her baby shower all ready to go.

The light dusting of snow had melted and we walked to the end of the dock, the calm out on the water was so peaceful and this expecting mom so beautiful.

There is often a quiet excitement when a couple is expecting their first child. Still enjoying the time when its just the two of them and yet anxious to snuggle their little one. I feel lucky to meet them during this time when they interact with each other and the anticipation of baby…and then I see them as parents, sharing that love with their new addition. Here are my favorites of another wonderfully sweet couple who will soon be sharing their snuggles with their little guy.

On this cold and gray December day I finally got to meet this sweet and quiet couple. She had booked a belly to baby session shortly after finding out she was expecting and I have been looking forward to meeting them ever since. When you are three years old and expecting a little sister, I bet its pretty exciting. Though having your picture taken might bring out your shyness…at least at first. That’s okay, we’ll just take a few to warm up and I’ll get to know you a little bit. I want to know your favorite color and what you like to do. I want to see your silly faces and your best princess smile, we might even try to find that cow that keeps moo-ing somewhere in my studio. Oh, and I’ll let you jump on my sofa, that’s sure to make you laugh. By the end, you may even ask me to hold your hand while you walk with your Mom to the car…and my heart will melt

The summer light, a gentle breeze, and a super sweet family sure makes for a wonderful session. I always like to take Mom aside for some of just her (we mom’s tend to have very few photos of “just us”) and of course I can’t resist trying to get a few from soon to be big-brothers (who tend to be incredibly adorable but a bit shy).

Lately I’ve had the most adorable soon-to-be big brothers at their expecting Mom’s sessions. Since they will have to share the spotlight when their little sister’s arrive, I can’t help but take a few extra of just them (many thanks to his Dad for cracking that sweet smile for this shot)

We met at one of my very favorite places just as the sun was peeking through from behind the clouds. The light was gorgeous, changing from a golden hue to soft pink and pale yellow. (I’m telling ya, I can’t get enough of these summer field sessions!) I may be biased because she’s my friend, but she is one stunning mama and her son is so cute I can hardly stand it. Even if he wasn’t into getting his picture taken (his mom is a photographer also, so you know our little ones are a bit more challenging in front of a camera) he flashed me a few smiles. As you can tell from the photos below, this is one beautiful family and I’m positively giddy with anticipation to meet the newest member of their family soon!
