Why is it that everyone looks cuter with mouse ears? Even when you start out with this already adorable little fellow who is 7 days new. Just perfect for his themed nursery

He had been eager to meet the world, so bright eyed and sweet. The stillness of a winter morning and quiet of a warm studio…perfect for a little nap.
This little one was ready to meet the world much earlier than anticipated. When he was born he wasn’t yet 5 lbs., now nearly 7 weeks old he’s closer to the 8 lbs. he probably would have been. Though he would have rather stay awake, he decided to give in and let me have the “one minute asleep” I asked for at the end of his session to get this shot
As you can imagine during a newborn session its pretty quiet, there’s the sound of my camera clicking away and some chatting to get to know the parents. Though on occasion there will be a long pause…when I’ve got my camera up and just waiting for it…then all of a sudden you’ll hear a consecutive click click click and I’ve caught it. Six days new and just in time for his first Christmas. Certainly the sweetest gift his family could have hoped for!
Another beautiful little baby girl to share. One of the questions I’m most asked is “Do you have hats and props?” I sure have a variety to choose from and usually put aside several options for you based on the nursery or favorite colors, though I love when a parent brings in something special, like a hat they made (the one below that has all the pretty stripes is one her mom knitted) or a big bold flower hat. It sure will give them some perspective on just how little they were when they see how small that hat was and how well it fit them once
When they are so new I don’t often see a smile when they are awake, usually when they are dreaming of happy little things, but she gave me a great big I-see-dimples-smile and then stared out the window for a little while before she closed her eyes.
Seven days new and today she thought it more interesting to see the world around her than take a long snooze (so many new things to look at of course!). Though she would close her eyes for a few moments at a time, just enough for some sweet sleepy shots, like the one below.
One month old and still willing to curl up for a quick nap. Today was a perfect day…for staying inside and being all snuggled up.
Its time to post some of my favorites from this little sweetie’s session. Pretty much as sweet as can be right? She is definitely a little lady and looks absolutely perfect in a bright pink tutu, she thought so too and gave me a great big smile, oh how I live for those!
