Since I don’t have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) on my website, I thought I’d include one here, please let me know if there is something else you would like to know :)

I like what I see! What’s next?
Great! Please contact me to book your photo session date(s). Following your initial contact, we can set up a phone or e-mail to discuss the purpose of the session and so I can find out more about the type of images you are looking for.

What if it rains on the day of our photo shoot?
Especially in the Northwest, rain is always a possiblity. We can discuss back-up dates in case of rain on the day of your photo shoot – but if you want some fun umbrella and puddle photographs, we’ll go ahead as planned.

What happens after our photo session?
A few days before your ordering day, I’ll send you a link to your session gallery. Feel free to share it with friends and family. At this point just enjoy your images and don’t stress about choosing which ones to order. Your “Ordering Day” is where I meet with you to help narrow down your favorites and can advise which images will work well as a canvas or framed print in your home.

When do I pay for my session and the prints, albums and other products I plan on ordering?
Upon agreement of your session date, you will receive a request via PayPal for your non-refundable retainer. If you would prefer to make your deposit by check or cash, just let me know so we can make arrangements. Payment for the prints or packages you order are due in full at the time the order is placed, which is usually at the end of your ordering day unless you are an out-of-town client. While I will make every effort to ensure your complete satisfaction, due to the unique nature of custom photography, all sales are final.

How much should I expect to spend?
That is completely up to you! With the exception of the packages, all products are purchased a la carte. Most clients find they spend between $500 and $1,500 once they decide on wall art, keepsakes, and gift prints for family members.

Are digital files included?
Unless specifically noted, digital files/negatives are not included in any session fee or package. I am happy to offer you professional prints with high-quality archival materials, mounted upon request, gallery wrapped canvases and unique framing materials and keepsakes. Digital files are available for purchase which include edited session images from your gallery with a photographer’s release for printing. CD (or DVD) images are non-watermarked, high resolution files that can be printed at 5″ x 7″ and smaller. Any larger prints or products should be ordered directly from Add to Heart Photography or your online gallery.

What should I wear?
A great question! It really depends on the type of session and the location. I have put together a few posts about tips on what to wear for different sessions and soon will be posting examples with explanations on why those work. There’s no need to go out and buy a special outfit (although thats always fun too!) but I am hoping that these posts will give you good ideas, so that you feel confident in your wardrobe decisions.
