Their love and happiness radiates every time they are close to one another…

We started the session outside, where the forecast of snow in Silverdale ended up as only a dusting of frost across the grass. After a bit of chilly weather photos, we headed back inside the studio for some portraits of her beautiful pregnancy curves. A few more outside on the waterfront as the water was just so serene, and this session was a wrap. I’m anxious to meet their little one, who should be here in a few more weeks :)

This couple was a lot of fun to photograph and to be around. When I’m doing a lifestyle / casual style session like this, its more about directing rather than posing. They were so quick to interact with one another on their own, creating a situation that is natural and resulting in a photograph that is genuine and emotional. I have a feeling their baby boy will be smiling during his session too with all of the love and laughter this couple shares.

Such a great couple to photograph and get to know. When we talked about their wedding plans, the groom-to-be immediately mentioned that he knew exactly the cake he wanted, but I forgot to ask what KIND of cake…any guesses? Their pups Rocco and Luna were so funny, even though they had been on a walk to tire them out earlier in the day, they were far from exhausted. I just have to share the one of them sitting still because it didn’t last long…I still giggle when I think of Rocco’s cheeks popping as he sniffed the ground…too cute!

I attended a workshop yesterday by Amanda K Photography. We had a full day of information, discussion, and a live shoot with 3 seniors and 2 couples (you couldn’t tell they weren’t professional models, because they were just awesome!) Workshop leaders – Katie & Brandon – are true mentors and I had an AMAZING time!

Couples Session + Favorites

It was chilly outside, but we certainly had a great time during this session. I didn’t even have to work to make them smile or to love on each other…after 36 years they still act like newlyweds!
