As you can imagine during a newborn session its pretty quiet, there’s the sound of my camera clicking away and some chatting to get to know the parents. Though on occasion there will be a long pause…when I’ve got my camera up and just waiting for it…then all of a sudden you’ll hear a consecutive click click click and I’ve caught it. Seven days new and today she thought it more interesting to see the world around her than take a long snooze (so many new things to look at of course!). Though she would close her eyes for a few moments at a time, just enough for some sweet sleepy shots, like the one below.

I adore each and every one of my wonderful newborn clients, they are sweet little miracles and I love being able to document their itty-bitty-ness. During a feeding break, I even snapped a few of her older brother, who is adjusting quite well to having “his baby” home. A wonderful sleeper, a perfect little bundle, and a true joy to photograph – don’t miss the wonderful smile she gave her Mommy at the end….awwdorable!

Baby Session + Favorites

You may have seen his sneak peek with his Winnie the Pooh friends, but I have a few more I wanted to share. When I think of Winnie the Pooh, I think of the green leaves of the trees in Hundred Acre Wood and fortunately for me this little guy looks great in green. After a break to fill his tummy we switched it up and he looks adorable in blue too

The couple from the maternity session just a few weeks ago welcomed their baby boy a bit early. Well, quite a bit early…but at least Daddy was able to watch his son be born via Skype (he was deployed at the time). So of course, he did smile during his session…this one is for Daddy

They say “time flies when you are having fun…” so you can imagine how much time I spent with this newborn. He was quite a little ray of sunshine in my day with smiles and coos. He could have been flirting…you can already tell he has a great personality (his whole family does!) and that smile? Awwwdorable!
