The light dusting of snow had melted and we walked to the end of the dock, the calm out on the water was so peaceful and this expecting mom so beautiful.

You just never know what the Pacific Northwest weather has in store…and if you’ll be able to shoot outdoors or have to rely on inside. So I’ve split my favorites up into indoor and outdoor posts to show how I work with both. Fortunately we saw a break in rain and the most vibrantly blue skies and sunshine appeared (yay!). I loved working with this gorgeous Mom…so sweet and so willing to try whatever it was I wanted to do…even if that meant putting on a blue summer dress and sunhat in chilly weather. The Port Townsend waterfront was such a serene setting for this beautiful expecting mom.

I had the hardest time narrowing down my favorites…she was such a good sport as we tried so many different things. The walking was worth it for these beautiful shots, I just love how they make her glow with light. Though the ones with a simple black background and classic composed portrait is dramatic and elegant…I can’t resist making those my favorites too. Ashlen, you look perfect!
