As you can imagine during a newborn session its pretty quiet, there’s the sound of my camera clicking away and some chatting to get to know the parents. Though on occasion there will be a long pause…when I’ve got my camera up and just waiting for it…then all of a sudden you’ll hear a consecutive click click click and I’ve caught it. When they are so new I don’t often see a smile when they are awake, usually when they are dreaming of happy little things, but she gave me a great big I-see-dimples-smile and then stared out the window for a little while before she closed her eyes.

Its so much fun to see a family welcome a new little one. As they were expecting their addition, we met at the park for a maternity session and now seeing their family grow to have another just seems so right. These parents make it look easy and their calm energy and sweet nature is surely shared by both of their adorable children.

I had just laid him down and he gave me a grin, now thats always a great start! This fella was super cute and I just love his perfect little details. We took advantage of my studio in Silverdale by heading out to the waterfront for a few shots near the water and with his mom & dad (who were so sweet and wonderful). I’m sure their family back home in Nebraska is anxious to see him, until then, here are some from his session (and I just can’t help but add – Go Big Red!)

Add to Heart Photography is now offering a unique session specifically focused on capturing your newborn and their little details. As they grow up so quickly, it makes each changing feature that much more important not to miss during their first days of life. A Little Details session will help tell that story of your baby at that moment in their new life. So tiny and new, you will always want to remember just how delicate their tiny fingers and toes were…

This session was created to include unique keepsakes and heirlooms that you’ll cherish always. Included is a 16″ x 20″ gallery style wrapped canvas of your favorite image for some place special in your home as a perfect piece of personal art. Then for your coffee table or fireplace mantel, you can display two 8″ x 8″ prints which are presented in a beautiful custom folio (with over twenty fabric and ribbons to choose from). The handmade folio can be displayed like a frame or closed like a book.

Though the best part of this session comes as a 5″ x 5″ 20-page write-in album (with an idea sheet to easily guide you through) so you can complete their story by writing in if their eyes are blue like their Daddy’s or they have dimples just like Grandma. The session includes one custom styled set-up so that the album will have a wonderfully cohesive scheme throughout. There are three main album designs to choose from – Sketched, Swirly, or Simple – and yours is customized through colors to coordinate with your folio, images from your session, and detail intro pages. The album is then tucked inside a little keepsake box with a card of their actual footprint. During your session we’ll make the print (no worries – its mess-free, no ink touches the baby).

The online gallery of images will include more than just the details, whole baby portraits and creative angles will also be part of your proofs. You can upgrade your package for an additional cost – either twenty full-resolution digital images of your choice on disk in coordinating diskfolio OR twenty images as 5″ x 7″ mounted keepsake prints presented in a coordinating photobox.
