For a day that called for rain we saw sun as soon as the session began. That worked perfectly since this senior is much happier in the sunshine. My studio in Old Town Silverdale is right by the waterfront and was a great place to start. Session continued on a separate post > HERE

Graduating in 2012 and looking for a senior photographer in Silverdale? I’d love to hear from you!

Soon we will be seeing more Fall colors and much cooler weather, so I was happy to get another warm and partly sunny day in the field. If this senior wasn’t already considering a career in interior design, I’d say she’s got one in modeling.

Earlier in the session we were at the Silverdale waterfront, on a separate post > HERE

Modern Grad Sessions reflect you and your personality. Interested in a senior portrait session? I’d love to hear from you!

Maternity Session + Favorites

The summer light, a gentle breeze, and a super sweet family sure makes for a wonderful session. I always like to take Mom aside for some of just her (we mom’s tend to have very few photos of “just us”) and of course I can’t resist trying to get a few from soon to be big-brothers (who tend to be incredibly adorable but a bit shy).

At the end of a wonderful session tonight we were chatting about the sunset and how pretty the sky was. My client who loves landscape photography had wished she could get a shot of the sky. Well we hugged and parted ways, but as I was driving home I looked in my rearview mirror….woah. By the time I was able to pull over and grab my camera the deep red color had turned into an incredible pink and purple. Here’s the view from here…a stunning sunset over the Olympic Mountains from Silverdale. (M – please don’t be mad at me, I know you wanted this shot, so here it is for you to just enjoy the beauty *HUGS*)

Sunset over the Olympic Mountains

A sunny day on the Silverdale waterfront was certainly fun for big brother, who loved finding rocks to toss into the water. If it wasn’t for him pointing out the boats and little fishies, I might have been too preoccupied asking him about all the different things he liked to do. After all, he deserves the spotlight now because soon enough he’ll have to share it with his little baby sister. He sure did pucker up to give his Mom’s belly a kiss and was so sweet picking flowers and giving one to everyone (including sissy). Here are more photos of the session with this wonderful family and beautiful expecting Mom :)

Pretty in pink with a perfect little pout. She was five days new for her photo debut and her parents couldn’t adore her more. They made a special trip all the way over to the Kitsap Peninsula and I hear she was a wonderful little traveler. She was also wonderful during her session, oh so sleepy and just so squishy sweet that it was hard to resist scooping her up and snuggling her. The adorable little bows were custom ordered from Little Wishing Tree

Five days new and a wee bit early. I had the honor of photographing her today as her wonderful parents again made the trip by ferry across just so I could photograph their little penni (who evidently didn’t want to miss out on spending Mother’s Day in her Mommy’s arms this year). She was so sweet and good for me, can’t you tell?

A little lady

They say “time flies when you are having fun…” so you can imagine how much time I spent with this newborn. He was quite a little ray of sunshine in my day with smiles and coos. He could have been flirting…you can already tell he has a great personality (his whole family does!) and that smile? Awwwdorable!

After a little awake time, this little one drifted off again and I was able to get some all snuggled up…that is until she decided she didn’t like being bundled anymore. Then a smile, a yawn, and the cutest little wrinkles.
